According to the about page, the maps in the future will be "semi-randomly generated". As far as I know this means that within basic rules (clan settlement at position XY, roads going there and there etc), the world's content such as events and objects will be generated once a server first...

Sup, imho the biggest reason people aren't busy writing builds atm is that not all gear and skills are released yet, and an optimal loadout also depends quite heavily on the number of players you're running with. The cast mode tip was the solution. The setting was set to Global Default but it was acting like Cast On Release. I just didn't notice because I was tapping the keyboard button. After deleting the config file and cycling it back to Global Default it is now instantly cast and I cannot cancel it anymo...

That is a bit weird. Some skills are set to "cast instantly, interrupt everything" - for example all reactionary (tumble, reflect) and movement abilities (teleport). But Piercing Thrust does not do that. Can you please try this out a bit more and give me specific feedback on how to reprod...
