Grouping is similar to the clan handling. Open the party menu and invite by character name. Every party member can invite new people to the party.

There should be an output_log.txt somewhere in your steam folder:
YOUR_STEAM_FOLDER\steamapps\common\The Exiled\exiled_Data\output_log.txt
Can you trigger the crash and mail the log file to support@fairydist.com ?

I deployed a patch onto the servers that should reduce this and added extra tracking related to lag issues.
